DREW PHILLIP BILLINGS 1983-2009
Beloved son and dearest friend.

On September 11th, 2009, we lost a truly unique and utterly sweet spirit. Drew was deeply loved and cherished by those close to him and admired by all lucky enough to have known or worked with him. He celebrated and lived life in a manner paralleled by few, immersing himself in the worlds of film, theater, music, business management and scholastics.

Drew Billings devoted his life to the arts and surrounded himself with people and projects that were close to his heart. Whether it was in film, theater, music, business management or scholastics, Drew passionately gave his all and constantly looked forward to progression. He spent the last two years of his life actively seeking financing for films he love so he could see their creation and revel in his accomplishments.

We have decided the best way to remember Drew is to make sure that his legacy of creation never ends. That is why Jill Van Horn, Ben Beck, Jonathan Purcell and Jonathan Tvrdik have come together to create to The Drew Billings Foundation.

The Drew Billings Foundation will raise funds in Drew’s name for an annual artists grant, given out on May 27th of every year, Drew’s birthday. The person or persons receiving the grant will be picked from any applicants the foundation receives and criteria for the grant will be all Drew. Which project would he have been most excited about? Which would he have been most passionate about? And which would we have wanted to see come to fruition?
